I was born in the Netherlands in 1930 where I began my formal career studying architecture at the Technical School in Tilburg, the Netherlands. From a very early age I knew I wanted to be an artist. In 1954 I came to Canada and studied at the University of Toronto, Ontario College of Art in Toronto and the Artists’ Workshop in London. In 1967 I became a teacher. My range of skills include Sculpture, Woodcarving, Architectural Drafting, Design and Building. Since 1979 I have devoted myself to the art of making sculpture full time, I have shown my work in various galleries in Toronto, Hamilton, Montreal, Kingston, Boston & Netherlands. Over years I have executed public commissions for monuments in the Netherlands, Japan, Switzerland, Canada and USA.
